Carol A. Corbett (formerly Thomas), Ph.D., LPC, NCC, is the practice owner, and a  psychotherapist specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy.

With over twenty years experience as a counselor who specializes in work with adolescents, Dr. Corbett is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are:

Dr. Corbett is an interactive, solution-focused, client-centered therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Education and Teaching Experience

In 2007, Dr. Corbett received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received her Masters of Education in School Counseling from Duquesne University in 1999. Dr. Corbett attended the University of Pittsburgh and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Natural Science. Dr. Corbett has taught as an adjunct instructor at Duquesne University and as an Assistant Professor at the International Institute for Restorative Practices in Bethlehem, PA. There, she taught graduate courses in youth counseling and restorative practices. 

License, Certifications & Awards

Dr. Corbett is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Pennsylvania. She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Dr. Thomas holds K-12 certification as a School Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania and worked in that capacity for close to ten years prior to moving to the area. Dr. Corbett twice received a Who's Who of American College and University Students award and has written and published two chapters in The Counselor’s Companion: What Every Beginning Counselor Needs to Know, Gregoire, J. & Jungers, C. (2006), Mahwah, NJ: Lawrence.

Beth Brown, M.A., LPC, graduated from Eastern University in 2003 with a B.S. in Psychology. Beth also earned her Master’s degree in Clinical and Community Counseling Psychology from Eastern University in 2007. She began her counseling career as a therapist at KidsPeace. Beth worked in various clinical settings while there, including outpatient services, BHRS services for children with Autism, and residential services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, aggression, and trauma. In 2015, Beth began working as an outpatient therapist at Wings of Change Counseling. Beth is a dynamic counselor who integrates various treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, experiential therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and client-centered approaches to help children, teens, and families explore and overcome obstacles to live a balanced and healthy life. Beth has strong empathy skills and uses compassion to help individuals engage in the process of change. Being a non-judgmental therapist helps people build their self-acceptance and gain the courage needed to change.

Anthony Fili, M.S., M. Ed., received Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from DeSales University, and most recently earned a Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill University. Anthony also graduated from Lehigh University with a Master’s in Special Education that he used to support underserved populations for over 20 years. His clinical experience includes working in a university counseling center and a community mental health outpatient clinic. Anthony works with adolescents as young as 13, and adults of all ages dealing with a variety of mental health issues.

Anthony believes in an integrative approach to counseling, drawing from several modalities to fit the unique needs of each person. His therapy style is genuine and supportive with a blend of humor and spirituality. Anthony believes that everyone has the internal resources to face life’s obstacles and empowers others to make their own choices and decisions.

Anthony enjoys coaching youth sports and has been mentoring young athletes on and off the field/court for over 20 years. Anthony uses sports psychology in his work with athletes and often incorporates mental performance training and mindfulness practices into his work with others.

Jessica Hodgskin, LCSW, specializes in individual, couples and family therapy. Jessica received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania where her education focused on a family-in-environment perspective. During Jessica’s career as a therapist, she has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings including an intensive outpatient program, in-home counseling, and outpatient counseling. Jessica enjoys utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model in her practice.

Leigh Ann Ryan, LSW, received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Cedar Crest College and her Master's Degree in Social Work from Marywood University.  Leigh Ann has been working as an out-patient therapist since 2012. She has an eclectic approach to strength-based treatment using cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoanalytic theory, and reality focus among others therapies. She connects with her clients by actively listening and using motivational communication, bringing an enthusiasm to promote change and/or acceptance. Leigh Ann’s client-centered practice focuses on children as young as 12, adults of all ages, and couples counseling.

Jennifer Zeiner, LCSW, graduated from West Chester University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s
degree in Psychology and a minor in Studio Arts. Jennifer earned her Master’s Degree in Social
Work from Marywood University in 2009. Jennifer has worked as a licensed social worker since
that time in a variety of settings including child welfare, mental health crisis, and medical care.
Jennifer started working in private practice 4 years ago. Jennifer works with clients across the
life span from ages 5 through end of life. Jennifer views clients as the experts of their own lives
for which counseling can provide the support they need to identify their own goals and strengths
in order to facilitate change. Jennifer believes in creating a therapeutic relationship from which
clients can feel safe to explore their lives and hopes for the future.

Sarah Falkson, MA, NCC graduated from Immaculata University in 2013 with an MA in Counseling Psychology. Sarah has worked in a variety of settings over the past fifteen years including inpatient hospitals, community-based settings, wraparound BHRS/IBHS in home services, forensic based, and Crisis. Sarah is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS-I) and has Level-I Training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). Sarah is primarily a Psychodynamic/Systemic counselor and believes that through understanding our reactions, feelings and processing our experiences throughout interpersonal relationships we can find hope and healing. Sarah works hard to partner with clients and establish a strong sense of safety within the therapeutic relationship and make therapy a safe place for growth and healing to occur.

Cheryl Seybolt, LSW received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Allentown College and earned a Masters Degree in social work from Marywood University. Cheryl has over 30 years of experience working with adults, couples, families children and adolescents with mental health, drug and alcohol and behavioral issues. She has worked in many clinical settings including: child welfare, hospice care, partial hospitalization programs, outpatient mental health, inpatient mental health, drug and alcohol and behavioral health. Cheryl has extensive clinical experience working with issues of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and self-esteem issues. Cheryl's approach to therapy is client focused, non-judgmental and strength based. She uses several treatment modalities including; motivational therapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Cheryl has strong empathy and advocacy skills and will work with you to help develop coping strategies and find solutions to improve your overall mental health and well-being.

Angela Miller, LSW, has been a licensed social worker since 2017. Angela graduated with her bachelors degree, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Community Health, from Hofstra University in 2014. In 2017, Angela graduated with an MA in Child Development from Sarah Lawrence College and an MSW from New York University. Angela has experience working in a variety of settings including school, in-home, and community-based mental health. Angela enjoys working with children and teenagers and their families as well as adults. Angela’s approach to therapy is an eclectic one of person-centered, CBT, and solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care. She works with her clients and their families to forge a therapeutic rapport that can be used to help clients work toward their goals all while recognizing and respecting the client in their environment. Angela is also working toward accumulating her hours for her LCSW.

Tina Rieker is the Billing Coordinator/Office Administrator for Wings of Change Counseling.  She has been working in the outpatient mental health field since 2006.  Tina will be your first point of contact, and she knows that when making the first call for services, it can be stressful and even scary for some. She is dedicated to helping you feel comfortable and at ease when beginning your counseling journey.  During the intake conversation, Tina will help you navigate through the insurance process so that you are aware of your benefits before your initial session.
